The Blackberry Bourbon Smash is a delightfully fruity cocktail that can be enjoyed all year round. The warmth of the American Eagle Tennessee Bourbon 4 Year Old is a surprising contrast to the sweet and citrus flavours of the fruit. By muddling the mint leaves, their refreshing taste and aroma is amplified and it’s easy to see why the Bourbon Smash is the whiskey drinker’s mojito!

The difficulty rating of the Blackberry Bourbon Smash is a 4/10. This is due to the muddling process required to really bring out the juices and oils of the mint leaves, lime wedges and blackberries.

We served this cocktail in a rocks glass over crushed ice, without fine straining. We garnished it using a lime wedge and a sprig of mint, but not without a delicate glass straw from Surfside Sips.  If this interested you, Surfside Sips is offering a 20% discount from your purchase using the code: tipsywithtyreek.
