The Guy of Warwick is another example of a great cocktail featuring Ikoyi Chapmans, a unique West African inspired mixer. Its name stems from a town in England called Warwick, which is where the mixer company is based. The mix of cucumber, orange and lime from the Ikoyi Chapmans, along with the squeeze of lemon juice, creates an exciting drink that harmonises well with the spiced rum and the vibrant orange colouring.
The Guy of Warwick is even easier to make than the Mayor of Warwick, at 2/10 in difficulty as it only has three ingredients (two of which you most likely have already). Therefore, it’s a great cocktail to make if you are just starting out on your cocktail journey or if you’re looking to make a refreshing cocktail for a group of friends.
The Guy of Warwick is definitely worth giving a try. Ikoyi Chapmans is a sweet and citrus drink, so the addition of spiced rum nicely balances it out. The lemon juice helps to prevent the cocktail from becoming too sweet by providing a natural bitterness.
We also feature The Mayor of Warwick, another Ikoyi Chapmans based cocktail.
Ikoyi Chapmans is a wildly refreshing sparkling beverage which can be enjoyed on its own or paired with a variety of premium spirits. See our full review of Ikoyi Chapmans here. Upon first impressions, a striking feature of Ikoyi Chapmans is its bold and vibrant colour which will elevate any drink you pair it with.
